At this year’s AGM the CTTC welcomed three new women to the Executive Council Sarah Comer, Caoimhe Moloney, and Kim Swan Their input will be invaluable to the CTTC going forward. Everyone at the CTTC wishes them a successful tenure in the Executive.

The Coach Tourism and Transport Council of Ireland (CTTC), Ireland’s foremost representative body for commercial bus operators, held its AGM in Foynes, Co. Limerick, on Friday 7th March 2025, where members of the organisation attended in great numbers. 

Cynthia Ní Mhurchú, MEP, was one of a number of guest speakers who attended the meeting. As a member of the EU Parliament’s TRANS Committee her attendance was of interest to those attending as she outlined the plans of the Commission over the next five years, which will guide national policy. The event also featured presentations from Foynes Port Company on cruise liner tourism and Campion Insurance, a key industry partner. 

The AGM featured a packed agenda, including a site visit to Foynes’ HVO import facility, a tour and lunch at the Flying Boat Museum. Following the formal AGM proceedings, an election of officers took place. Popular Chairperson William Martin of Limerick’s Martin Coaches stepped down after a successful two-year tenure. 

A networking dinner at the Woodlands Hotel, Adare, will rounded off the day.

With the world of transport continuously evolving and the speed of sustainability to policy developments, we must continue to advocate for practical solutions that benefit both operators and passengers alike.”
